Mr. Joseph TJ is a senior citizen from a small village called Kealakam in Kannur district of Kearala, India. He lives with his aged wife Elsamma, daughter in law Mrs. Lispey and grand daughter Jessa. Mr. Joseph and Elsamma lost their 30 year old son, Rijo, recently to a heart attack while he was working abroad. Now they to take care of his son’s widow and their daughter who has no other means of income. They live in a very old house which is not livable and not worth repairing. This family is seeking your assistance to rebuild their house at the same location.
To share some background of this family, Mr. Joseph was a daily wage worker throughout his career. As the only breadwinner of the family, he struggled a lot to raise a family of two boys. They sent both their sons to join a catholic seminary to volunteer, study and become priests. After few years, the seminary sent the second son, Mr. Rijo back home to look after his aged parents as their health was deteriorating. He was their only hope they had to take care of them at their old age. Mr. Riju went to the middle east, soon after his marriage to make a better living. But unfortunate turn of events caused this family to lose all hopes when they faced with the sudden death of Mr. Rijo due to a heart attack, on his first return trip from middle east to India. The family had to spend all their savings to get Mr. Rijo’s dead body back to India.
At this time the oldest son and his aunt who’s a nun support the family with the living expenses as much as they can. But they are not in a position to help with the construction costs of a house which has become an immediate need at this time. That’s why Mr. Joseph and family are requesting your help to construct a small 2 bedroom house. Please consider helping this family with a donation that you are able to.
